Trusting in the Lord

Hello Hello!!

Today we are going to reflect on Proverbs 3:5-6 and what it means to Trust in God.

( TLV) Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and he will direct your paths.

Before we begin, lets take a look at what it means to trust.

When you hear the word TRUST, what’s the first thing that comes to your mind? Is it committing yourself to someone or something wholeheartedly?  According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary TRUST means the assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something, one in which confidence is placed. When we are talking about trusting God we are referring to put our confidence in Him, to believe in what the Bible says about his promises towards us and to know that He is capable of being available to each and every one of us.

In Genesis 1:1 it says In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, just from that statement alone you know that God is capable of creation and everything that falls into that category such as the human race, our flaws etc. and loving each of us regardless of our sins. God is creator of all things, He created you and I and knows each of us on a personal level. Because we know that God is creator of all things and that He does know each of us on a personal level, we can all say assuredly that God can be trusted.

Trusting in general can be hard ,yes, but the key is to know for a fact and believe without a doubt in your mind that God is never going to let you down (Mathew 28:20- .. And remember! I am with you always, even to the end of the age.) and that all things He allows to happen to you is for your own good ( Romans 8:28- Now we know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to His purpose) .

Going back to our Verse of the day, in Proverbs 3:5-6, Paul talks about trusting in God with all your heart, every ounce of you! That can be a struggle but the more you believe it for yourself and apply it to those tough times in your life it will start to be easier to accept. Paul goes on to saying that in ALL your ways ACKNOWLEDGE Him and he will direct your paths. When Paul talks about  in all your ways, he is referring to in every circumstance and acknowledge Him, as in His presence and His blessings, and He will keep your path straight.

God wants you to know for a fact that He has your back, that He will ALWAYS be there for you, even in the most difficult of situations. Although it might be really tough to see any good in the present , maybe a family member passed away you were really close with, your parents got divorced, or maybe work has been stressful, just know that God is right there with you!! He sees you struggling, He knows your pain and frustration and He wants nothing more from you then to TRUST in Him and believe that He WILL get you through this.  Sometimes God puts us through challenging situations to help us grow into the person God ants us to be and help us strengthen our walks with Him.

All in all, God loves us SOO much! He wants to be there for us for every moment, the good and the bad, and wants us to want to know Him, have a relationship with Him and to TRUST that He knows what He’s doing.

Hope you all have an AMAZING rest of your day and hope you guys got some inspiration from this post!  Thanks a TON for following my blog! 🙂
